Cliff Barackman of Finding Bigfoot
Joining us at the event year is our good friend and Co-star of the long running Animal Planet series, Finding Bigfoot Mr. Cliff Barackman. Cliff will be in attendance at the event all weekend long meeting and greeting attendees and fans, posing for picture and signing autographs. We are proud and honored that are good friend Cliff will be joining us for the 2019 Pennsylvania BIgfoot Camping Adventure.
Cliff was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Throughout his youth, his interests were drawn towards both the physical and biological sciences, as well as to music. These interests later brought him to dabble in a wide variety of sciences in college before later deciding to pursue his degree in Jazz Guitar. Cliff can be heard performing guitar around the Portland area, when he’s not busy in the field. Cliff’s interest in the sciences drove him to a teaching career where he could share his love and appreciation of the natural world with young people, and participate in the occasional sing along.
While Cliff was navigating his life, his growing interest in the bigfoot phenomena drove him to travel to other parts of the country to look into the mystery. By extensively travelling the West Coast, he found himself unsatisfied with living in Southern California and wanting to live closer to bigfoot habitat. After living in various parts of California and Washington State, he eventually settled in Portland, OR where he lives today.
Cliff has been a dedicated sasquatch field researcher for more than two decades. It was his dedication to the subject and his online presence that drew the attention of Discovery Communications, who later invited him to be a cast member on Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot television series. Both on and off camera, he has managed to gather data supporting the hypothesis that sasquatches are an undiscovered species of great ape that walks bipedally and lives in North America. Though finding and documenting data is a goal of Cliff’s research, it is not the primary goal. As it turns out, the journey is just as rewarding as any destination!
Cliff has appeared in various media outlets over the years in regards to his bigfoot experience. He has written extensively on the subject with his work being featured not only on his own blog, but on other websites as well. He has also been featured in student reports, newspaper articles, video documentaries, and more.
In 2007, Cliff was contacted to be on the History Channel’s “Monsterquest.” The episode, entitled “Legend of the Hairy Beast,” featured Cliff and fellow bigfoot researcher, James “Bobo” Fay investigating bigfoot sighting reports on the Klamath River in Northern California. Being the first whites to ever be invited to do bigfoot research on the Yurok Indian Reservation, Cliff and Bobo interviewed Native American elders about their experiences with sasquatches. They hired Indian river guides, and made base camp in a cabin with no access other than by river. They also utilized advanced night vision technology to try to film sasquatches at night from a river jet boat.
Being well-respected in the bigfoot community and beyond, Cliff is often called upon for comments about bigfoot evidence and research. He was the featured expert in news items broadcast to the Portland, OR and Seattle, WA media markets in regards to the infamous Georgia Bigfoot Hoax of 2008 where he clearly stated that it was a falsification. He has appeared on many internet radio shows, and was also a featured guest on “Coast to Coast with George Noory.”
In Spring, 2010, Cliff was asked to accompany Bob Saget on a bigfoot expedition in Northern Washington State. Bob was filming an episode of his A&E series, Strange Days with Bob Saget, where he would partake in an eccentric subculture’s way of life for a weekend. Bob and Cliff were filmed discussing the various types of recorded sasquatch vocalizations on record, and Bob walked away very impressed with the evidence. As a parting gift, Cliff gave Bob a copy of the 1982 Grays Harbor, WA footprint cast.
Cliff is currently being featured in Animal Planet’s new series, Finding Bigfoot. Once again teaming up with colleagues James “Bobo” Fay, Matt Moneymaker, and Ranae Holland, Cliff is traveling the country investigating bigfoot evidence. His expert opinion, level-headed approach, and analytical mind is essential to the team. When numbers need to be extracted for the sake of data analysis, or when a footprint needs to be permanently recorded, he is there to offer his unique skills. Cliff augments the credibility of Finding Bigfoot with his passion for data collection, and his ability to explain complex ideas in simple fashions. Dr. Jeff Meldrum
Dr. Don Jeff Meldrum
Dr. Don Jeff Meldrum will be appearing all weekend to meet and greet fans, take photos and sign autographs!
Dr. Jeff Meldrum holds a doctorate in anatomical sciences with an emphasis in physical anthropology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook (1989). He is currently a Full Professor of Anatomy & Anthropology in the Departments of Biological Sciences and Anthropology. He has been at ISU for 24 years. His formal study of primate locomotion began with the terrestrial adaptations of African primates, and has since taken him from the skeletal cabinets of far-flung museums, to the remote badlands of Colombia and Argentina in search of fossil New World primates. He has published extensively on the evolutionary history of the South American primates and has described several new extinct species. His attention returned to the emergence of modern human bipedalism, including the analysis of fossil hominin footprints. His co-edited volume, From Biped to Strider: the Emergence of Modern Human Walking, Running, and Resource Transport, redirects attention from the origins of simply walking on two legs, to the pattern of emergence of the innovations specifically unique to modern human gait.
His interests in the footprints attributed to an unrecognized North American “relict hominoid,” commonly known as sasquatch, came into focus when he literally crossed paths with an enigmatic track of 15-inch footprints in Washington. He has erected the ichnotaxon diagnosing the footprints attributed to sasquatch as Anthropoidipes ameriborealis MELDRUM 2007. He has conducted collaborative laboratory research and fieldwork throughout North America and Asia, and has spoken about his findings in numerous interviews, television appearances, public and professional presentations and publications. His book Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science bears the endorsement of Dr. Jane Goodall, who said “Dr. Meldrum’s book…brings a much needed level of scientific analysis to the sasquatch – or Bigfoot – debate.”

Bill will be joining us for the entire weekend meeting fans, signing autographs, and talking about his research.
Bill Brock is an investigator who has been researching the Sasquatch phenomenon and other Cryptids for years. He is the lead investigator on the Destination Americas tv program Monsters Underground. Bill and his team travel the globe investigating Cryptids such as the Mapinguari and Draco. Since Monsters Underground has aired, Bill has not slowed down. He founded and launched Team Rogue in Maine to continue the search. Recently Team Rogue investigated the Turner Sighting. The sighting is very interesting but is it too good to be true? The team is still getting reports from Turner Maine which they continue to research. The team recently returned from a 10 day road trip researching Cryptids in the Ohio Valley. Bill has contributed possible Sasquatch tracks found in the Chain of Ponds area in Maine to International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland Maine which are currently on display. Bill is also a film maker working on multiple projects including a film called Crypto-Paranormal road trip taken across the country. Team Rogue continues to investigate Cryptids across the country. About Monsters Underground
In Monsters Underground, Bill Brock and his team are hell-bent on proving the existence of monsters living beneath the earth’s surface. During their underground investigations, one wrong move could turn the cave into their tomb. But the most dangerous threat of all is the pitch-black darkness and the risk of coming face to face with a cave creature – such as the shape-shifting Aswang or the bat-like Olitiau – and not seeing it until it’s too late.
“America’s swamps and caves are inherently terrifying places with real-life dangers like quicksand, gators, disorienting darkness, and claustrophobic passageways with only one way out – not to mention monsters,” said Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America. “These hostile conditions ward off every-day visitors, but the time has come for a few good men to brave the elements and stand up against these Swamp Monsters and Monsters Underground. No one but Elliot, Brock, and their teams of expert trackers, trappers, and hardcore outdoorsmen is better suited to accept the mission.”
In Monsters Underground, a military survivalist, a trained biologist, a reclusive hunter-tracker, and a hulking pro fighter are on the case to investigate deadly monsters living in the most inaccessible environments on earth: underground caves, caverns, and mines. There, they seek out legendary creatures that thrive in the cold, damp darkness beneath our feet. For thousands of years, myth and folklore have warned of beasts that prowl the underworld. Now, Bill Brock and his team dare to trespass on their realm for the sake of discovering the truth, putting their lives on the line to venture deep under the earth’s surface where natural elements can be as dangerous as the monsters themselves.
We are excited that Stacy will be joining us as a last minute addition to the event. Stacy Brown Jr. voted 2016’s Bigfoot Researcher of the year, spends most of his time searching the swamps for the elusive beast they call the Skunk Ape. Stacy is part of the winning team on Spike TV’s, 10 million dollar Bigfoot bounty. He has also been featured on Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot, Fox News and the New York Times among others. Stacy got his first start into Skunk Ape research when he and his buddy had an encounter on November 6th, 2011. After becoming enthralled with the subject he and his father were able to capture what some people call the best piece of thermal footage ever caught. To date the footage has not been debunked.
When he’s not in the swamp swatting mosquito’s, Stacy is the front man for the hard rock band Stacy Brown and the Big Bad Wolves. In addition to playing rock ‘n roll Stacy is a filmmaker. His production company, Best Dudes Films, are preparing to release their first feature length film called "The Pit" starring Les Stroud as well as their next documentary "The Skunk Ape Lives". The A.I.M.S. Team
APPALACHIAN INVESTIGATORS OF MYSTERIOUS SIGHTINGS
AIMS was founded by Trapper John Tice, Jeff Headlee and Willy McQuillian. We all had known each other for some time but it wasn't until several years ago that we realized that we all shared an interest that would soon evolve into AIMS. We had all grown up in the Appalachian Region and for years had heard the stories repeated over and over by our families of unusual and mysterious sightings of creatures and beasts in the the Appalachian area. All of us thought the stories to be nothing more than legends or folklore, even though the folks telling them seemed to believe they had some real substance.
Any skepticism they have had in their early years disappeared for each of them in different ways but they all soon became believers when they had their own personal encounters with these creatures. The AIMS teams encounters were so vivid and real that soon, upon realizing that all three of the founding members had similar experiences, they all pooled our interest and became somewhat obsessed with these mysterious sightings.
The men know that many of you reading this will do so with a healthy dose of skepticism. We understand. They felt exactly the same way until they had their own personal experiences. AIMS would only ask that as you review the website and look into the organization that you keep an open mind. If you do, we promise that you may experience something that will change your life and have you rethink what is real and not real in this world.
The AIMS Team Mission
The mission at AIMS is to investigate mysterious sightings of creatures and phenomena in the Appalachian Regions, as reported by individuals who are frequently scared that they will be laughed at and ridiculed for what they saw. Upon investigating these reports we will move to track, trap and capture these creatures. In the end we will either know that our witness actually saw a mysterious beast or that no beast exists. We want to help these people to have peace of mind and know that they are not alone in their mysterious encounters.
Returning again this year are Jeff, Huckleberry, Willy, Wild Bill and joining them will be Buck. The AIMS team will be on hand Friday, Saturday and Sunday to meet and greet fans, take photos and sign autographs.
